Description: Winter Rose is the inaugural fragrance in my Gion Series, inspired by the timeless elegance of the Maiko and Geisha of Gion in Kyoto, Japan. This all-natural perfume is a tribute to the rich cultural heritage and refined artistry of these iconic women.

Having called Tokyo home for nearly a decade, I frequently traveled to Kyoto, the ancient capital, where I forged lasting friendships with fellow artisans, gardeners, and craftsmen in textiles, woodcraft, and leatherwork. My deep appreciation for the arts naturally led me to the captivating world of Geisha culture.

In English, Geisha translates to “artist.” These extraordinary women excel in various arts, including music, dance, calligraphy, tea ceremonies, and flower arrangements. With great pride and respect, I crafted my Gion oil perfumes, personally gifting them to these paragons of Japanese beauty, tradition, and grace.
