"Tradition" Burning Papers from Papier d'Armenie.
The idea came from a travel to Armenia, country where the benzoin resin, derived from the bark of trees – the major ingredient of the booklet – was used to purify the air.
TRADITION is the original scent from 1885, equal parts smoky and powdery, with notes of bonzoin resin.
Papier d'Armenie is used by setting light to a single strip, detached from the booklet one at a time, folded concertina style, and placed on a heat proof surface. I can also be used unlit by placing a booklet in a cupboard or drawer and it will slowly release a soft, sweet fragrance.
Each booklet has 36 pre-cut paper strips, in 12 sheets of 3.
Made in France since 1885.
